1.A daguerrotype the image is a positive made in the camera on a silvered copper plate. In 1839 they were used. The surface resembled a mirror. The process of the daguerreotype replaced heliography. 

2.Albumen was the first method of producing a photographic print on a paper base from a negative. The main ingredient is egg whites. The process died out in the turn of the 20th century.

3. Stereograph is a mapping function that shines a sphere onto a plane. It started in the 1500's, was used through the 19 century for mapping, it was popular 1865-1880.

4. Carte de Visite was a small photograph which was found in Paris, France by an artist by the name of André Adolphe Eugène Disdéri in 1854. They were used for visiting cards.

5. Matthew Brady and Alexander Gardner were photographers during the Civil War and took pictures of the war. They were known for their portraits of celebrities. They were active in the civil war era.

                                Joseph Nicephore Niépce was a French inventor, he was one of the inventors of photography and a pioneer in the field. He took the worlds first photo in 1825. This photo was taken at his house in 1826. This exposure took 8 hours to complete. The photo is now held in the University of Texas.
